Need to cook up a little excitement among your students? Food Network is proud to present choice episodes of Good Eats as part of our Cable in the Classroom series. Alton Brown has the sizzle that makes kids pay attention and his shows are packed with informative detail. You'll find episodes such as "This Spud's for You," which explores the impact of the humble potato on world history and nutrition, as well as offering some tasty recipes.
Commercial-free episodes of Good Eats will air on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 3:30 a.m. from September through November of each year. A yearlong copyright clearance allows educators to tape the shows for use in the classroom. Enhance each episode with lesson plans that offer unique ways to explore science, math, chemistry, physics, and history. Click below for more information on the Cable in the Classroom program, as well as lesson plans for each show. Spice up your classes with Good Eats!
